This number is not a scam it is a Credit Card company... HSBC. They own Orchard Bank, Household Bank, and many other bankcard names. Honestly, the best thing to do is to answer the call wait for the computer connect to a live rep and let them know if you don't have an account with them. If you do have an account with them, try to work out payment arrangements or ask for an address to send a letter to stop the calls. The worst thing to do is ignore it or pick up/hang up on the calls - the computer will just dial back faster because of the disconnected call.
